With the summer season of weekend getaways and travel officially in full swing it’s the perfect time to upgrade your travel style.
If you’re looking for a luggage brand that epitomizes classic luxury, timeless design, and around-the-world performance, look no further than Paravel.
“At Paravel, we set out to build a brand rooted in the understanding that travel is a ubiquitous part of our personal and professional lives and therefore no part of the travel experience should be an afterthought,” Rockefeller tells me.
Krantz adds, “With regards to price, we consider Paravel a new form of honest luxury. We believe in quality, craftsmanship, attention to detail, and great design. But we also believe in a fair price. Our fabrics come from the same mills on the shores of Lake Como and the hills of Tuscany as brands like Gucci, Chanel, and Hermes, but our prices are a fraction of theirs”.
On the brand’s target consumer Krantz tells me “Paravel is more about a state of mind and a way of travel than it is a specific age or gender demographic. We believe travel should be an opportunity to reset and refresh, to broaden horizons and take a break from the frenetic pace of daily life. We have never put batteries in our luggage and never will, as travel for us is about being present rather than being constantly plugged-in and tethered to a phone. The Paravel traveler, whether young or old, male or female, is spontaneous and adventurous, naturally curious, and mindful in their approach to their environment and the world around them”.
Looking towards the future Krantz continues, “We want to use the best materials to produce the best products, but we also feel strongly that as a travel brand that we have an obligation to create product that helps protect travel ecosystems for future generations of adventurers. We launched Paravel with an emphasis on natural, sustainable materials like cotton and linen, as opposed to the heavy synthetics and plastics utilized by most of our peers. As we evolve the brand, it is important to us to keep innovating in this space, and are excited to be working now to implement recycled materials into our supply chain”.
Rockefeller tells me, “It’s seeing complete strangers carrying Paravel around town or on the road. The first time I spotted a Paravel bag in the wild I followed the woman for 4 blocks taking photos. I was so excited”.
